A bottleful of goodness, Colycco a platform offering deliciously scented beauty care and scrumptious natural food products, is an ode to the richness of Lebanon’s soil and a tribute to its artisans. We met Lyn Khalil, the sparkling entrepreneur behind this self-care destination.
Her story begins in the fields of Lebanon, where thyme grows wild, and bees gather nectar from bloom to bloom. During challenging times in our country, at the peak of the economic crisis, Lyn was thinking of a way she could support her community, creating something sustainable that would generate lasting opportunities. At just nineteen years old, she thought up her platform, Colycco, a blend of feel-good natural products crafted in Lebanon. “I choose the products for my shop based on what I personally use, enjoy, and believe in sharing with others,” Lyn explains. “As someone who deeply values nature and finds comfort in its scents and textures, I wanted to recreate that feeling in my everyday life. Living in the city made me long for that connection to the natural world, so I began curating products that could bring a sense of calm, grounding, and authenticity into the home, things that reflect my lifestyle and daily rituals. From soaps to thyme and honey, each item is selected with care and a desire to offer the essence of Lebanon through thoughtful, handmade products.” The project started growing and she gradually introduced more natural skincare products and healthy essentials. Lavender or jasmine handmade soap made with laurel and olive oils, sprays of argan or sweet almond oils for skin and hair hydration, hair care and masks with laurel or oud, Lyn tells us she finds solace in nature’s scents and formidable resources. She continuously introduces novelties such as a soothing face wash made from Goat Milk or a rejuvenating Louban, a resin from the Boswellia tree, and collagen cream. For kids, Colycco has a flavourful line of hand, body and hair washes, made with yummy strawberries, apples or honey.
Her quest to bring us the flavours of nature also extends to our palate. The young entrepreneur has developed a range of foodie products, hand in hand with local artisans, preserving the traditions and characteristics of our land. Pure oak honey straight from hive to jar, with no additives, crunchy dark chocolate cocoa hazelnuts bites, or thyme ‘harvested and prepared like the old days,’ each product is selected with care and intended to offer a moment of pure joy and goodness. She purposefully works with local producers and craftsmen with the aim to create economic opportunities and stability in vulnerable rural areas of Lebanon, where she shares her know-how, and in turn, they infuse Colycco’s products with authenticity and some unique specialties. The platform grew with Lyn, she extended her product line, introduced a carefully thought out soft-tones packaging, full of peps with sketches of fruits and flowers, creating small, handcrafted batches of each item. The young entrepreneur also continues to expand her network of distribution across Lebanon but also abroad in her ongoing journey to share the beauty of our country. Everything is curated with care, simply bringing us the products that the young lady uses and loves. With her passion and commitment to adopting green sustainable practices with only natural ingredients, Lyn also remains dedicated to empower the community around her, harnessing the goodness of nature together, to bring it into our homes.
